We're told that when the Shepherds heard about the Messiah being born, "they hurried off..." It was urgent! They wanted to get down to the town, to find the amazing child they'd been told about. Were the angels making it up? There was only one way to find out - get to Bethlehem as soons as they could!
Angels pop up all over the place in the Christmas Story - they're messengers from God, with news that is exciting, challenging, and wonderful. Mary, Joseph, the Shepherds - they all hear from God via Angels. Funny thing is, almost every time an Angel appears, the first thing they say is "Don't be afraid"! They must have been pretty scary...
